On September 18, 2006 the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova had decided to refuse the admission of the request of MHC on registration the modifications to MHC Statute.  

After MHC sued the Ministry of Justice at law, thus the Court decided to annul the decision of the Ministry of Justice as being illegal and obliged it within 15 days from entering into force of the court decision to register the modifications to the MHC Statute (January 10, 2007). 

Unfortunately, from the discussions with the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, they are tergiversating and don't have any intention to execute the court decision.

ROUND-TABLE

“PROTECTION OF NATIONAL MINORITIES THROUGH BILATERAL AGREEMENTS CONCLUDED BY MOLDOVA”

Co-organized by the Council of Europe and the Moldovan Helsinki Committee for Human Rights.

The round-table objectives: 
- to inform and promote awareness of the relevant responsible persons of the public authorities and representatives of the civil society about the opportunities and possibilities offered by international practice of concluding of bilateral agreements for the protection of national minorities. 

The round-table will be facilitated by Lanna Hollo, program adviser, Directorate General of Human Rights, Council of Europe and Kinga Gal, Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
